ABOUT US
The Cobbs Infant and Nursery School is a popular co-educational community infant school with a large dedicated nursery, specialising in two to seven year olds, within Warrington LA. It is situated on the south side of Warrington in Wood Lane, Appleton, which is a pleasant residential area. At the age of seven the majority of our children transfer to Broomfields Junior School with whom we have close liaison.
The school buildings are bright and spacious and supplemented by a large, hard surfaced playground and garden areas with paths and seating facilities used during school time for many activities, for example Science. We also have an outdoor classroom. Our large grounds, which include a ‘Millennium Garden’, a ‘Wild Garden’ and a 'Sensory Garden' are used for class projects as well as at playtimes.
The School has a Nursery Unit, with provision for two year olds. The Nursery makes good use of our extensive facilities in school including the Wild Garden, Hall, IT Suite and Library.
If childcare is required outside of school hours, then our Link Club operates from 7.30am to 6.00pm and may have places available.
