PAN 2024 - ARTWORK
Our school is a founder member of PAN (Primary Arts Network). Each year a number of Warrington schools collaborate on a joint project based on an agreed theme and the children’s work is shared through an exhibition and a performance. This enables us to participate in exciting cross-curricular work and showcase work within the arts. This year’s theme is 'Around the World in 80 Days'.
Nursery
In Nursery, we visited Indonesia and were inspired by Batik fabric art. We used a wax crayon and a colour wash to create our designs.
Reception
In Reception, we have been exploring Aboriginal art from Australia. Can you see our printed hands and colourful dots?
Year 1
In Year 1, we have stopped off in North America to learn all about Andy Warhol and the magical world of Pop Art! We have created colourful self portraits using vivid colours and our imagination.
Year 2
In Year 2, we have been inspired by the colourful geometrical patterns of Islamic tiles! We decided to create some of our own using our printing skills. Can you see the repeating shapes?
