Admission to School
The Local Authority is the admission authority for The Cobbs Infant and Nursery School - please see the link below to direct you to their website for further information. The Local Authority is also the contact for any appeals.

In line with LA Policy, the school has one intake into reception classes in the September of each year. The school academic year runs from 1st September to 31st August and children are admitted in the September prior to their fifth birthday. From September 2025 our Published Admissions Number (PAN) is 60.
We hold our annual Open Event in the autumn term, specifically for parents of school (and nursery) children due to be admitted in the next intake. Alternatively, parents considering sending their child to our school are welcome to make an appointment to visit us at any time.
Admission to Nursery (3 and 4 year olds)
Nursery children are admitted in the term after their third birthday, subject to availability of places. We organise individual admission arrangements for each child upon confirmation of a place.

Admission to Nursery (2 year olds)
We also offer nursery provision for children from the age of two. Places are allocated in age order. Some parents may be able to access funding for this initiative and should check for eligibility using this link https://www.warrington.gov.uk/twoyearfunding or by contacting the school office. We accept all nursery vouchers and for details of current charges and availability, or for more information, please contact the school.
