Year 1 - Bog Baby
We found stars, glitter and footprints in our classrooms. We wondered who they belonged to. We shared ideas of what we knew about the creature from the clues that were left in our rooms. We then drew labelled diagrams of what we thought it might look like. We researched different habitats that the creature could live in. We didn't think that it could live in a desert because it left wet footprints so we decided it could live in a rainforest or a woodland. We soon found out that it lived in our Wild Garden. We had lots of questions about the creature so we wrote them down and it replied to us. We went on a magical creature hunt in the Wild Garden. We completed an 'I see, I think, I wonder' writing frame. We used our imaginations to change real features into things we thought the creature would need, then we drew our own Wonderland Maps in our Geography lesson. We wrote stories thinking about adjectives, similes, conjunctions and different puctuation marks.
